Typhoon 'Kabayan' floods Metro Manila

Continuous rains brought by typhoon "Kabayan" has left a number of roads in Metro Manila flooded.
On Tuesday afternoon, the flood along N. Domingo Avenue corner Gilmore street in San Juan was gutter deep just like in E. Rodriguez-Victory area in Quezon City, while Betty Go Belmonte corner E. Rodriguez was also submerged in knee-deep waters, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
The North-bound lane of EDSA-Santolan service road had floodwater reaching the gutter level while both lanes of EDSA-P. Tuazon was already above gutter-level. Flood in Maysilo to Francisco streets in Mandaluyong was already above-the-knee and Balong Bato in Mandaluyong had waist-deep waters.
In San Juan City, Barangay Salapan was also submerged in waist-deep flood, while accumulated rainwater in the Eastbound lane of Marcos Highway reached tire-level.
In addition, the floodwater in Kalaw-Orosa interior in Manila was gutter deep; in Burgos-Orosa eastbound was half-tire deep; both lanes of UN Avenue along Taft were gutter-deep; in Mille del Rio/Jones bridge was waist deep; in Quirino Plaza Dilao, North bound, gutter deep and Petro Gil-Quirino-Taft East bound knee deep.
Meanwhile, the Quezon City government already advised residents of flood-prone areas, especially those who stay near the creeks to temporarily leave their houses due to threats of drastic rise in water levels.
