Women's skateboarding: Alegado, 9, finishes seventh in park finals

Mazel Paris Alegado, nine years old, finished seventh in the women's skateboarding park finals during the 19th Asian Games at Qiantang Roller Sports Centre in Hangzhou, China on Monday, September 25.
Alegado, the youngest of the nearly 400-strong Filipino delegates, scored 52.85 points in her first run.
The Asiad debutant, unfortunately, couldn't sustain her impressive performance after scoring 24.83 and 24.50 in her last two runs in succession.
Japan's Kusaki Hinano tallied 88.87 points in her third and final run to win the gold. She started with an 82.21 score, followed by an 87.78-point output in her second run.
Chinese bets Li Yujuan and Mao Jiasi settled for silver and bronze with 85.48 and 80.46, respectively.
Alegado qualified for the medal round behind her 56.96 points in the qualifying phase last September 24.
