Two more cases of abuse among OFWs in Taiwan

Chairperson Amadeo Perez of Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) confirmed that there are two more cases of abuse among Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) over the weekend.
Perez said that two Filipino workers were hit on the head and body using baseball bat by Taiwanese gang members.
"No one was killed, but three were beaten up so far," Perez said.
MECO also added that Taiwanese teenagers in motorcycles attacked a dormitory occupied by Filipinos and attacked them.
However, Perez said that Taiwan police will work on the incidents to prevent such cases against Filipinos.
He added,"We advised our citizens to avoid going to places which they feel not safe for them. We advise them to stay indoors after work, avoid drinking in public places, and notify us immediately if they need help."
Perez suggested that all Filipinos should stay indoors as much as possible.
