Bohol PNP welcomes directive to let media join anti-illegal drug raids

TAGBILARAN — The Philippine National Police (PNP) Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) is open to reporters joining their anti-illegal drug operations following Pres. Rodrigo Duterte's order to let the press join the police's anti-drug raids.
BPPO Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Felipe Natividad on Thursday said that the police force here is ready for members of the media to join them during their anti-illegal drug operations to disprove allegations of extrajudicial killings.
However, Natividad said preparations and security briefings will still have to be carried out before the operations to ensure the safety of the journalists.
He stressed that media personnel will have to follow protocols for safety reasons and to avoid compromising the success of the operation. (PIA)
