4 suspected drug peddlers nabbed in Maguindanao

PARANG, Maguindanao — Police authorities here raided a safe house of suspected illegal drug peddlers and nabbed four persons, still high on drugs, at 4 a.m. Saturday.
Police officers, led by Parang town police chief, Chief Insp. Erwin Tabora, arrested Aladin Umbol, his runner Ibrahim Dilampagos, and two minors during the pre-dawn operation in Barangay Sarmiento. The minors were not identified.
Seized from Umbol and Dilampagos were several sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P1,500.
Tabora said the four were found positive of drug use.
He said the suspects identified their sources of illegal stuff but police declined to make the information public.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Making, also in Parang, a man, identified as Sdam Ronda, 27, was apprehended for possession of illegal drugs costing more than P1,000.
Tabora said the four belonged to a big-time drug syndicate operating in the towns along the Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur borders. (PNA)
