Unit formed to investigate gunshooting of BIR official in QC

MANILA — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has formed a special investigation task group (SITG) to look into the gunshooting of a Bureau of Internal Revenues (BIR) official Wednesday morning.
This was confirmed by QCPD head Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar in a statement.
The SITG is headed by Eleazer and he will be assisted by an eight-member team to facilitate the investigation and speedy resolution of the killing of Alberto Enriquez, 49, of 92 Madasalin St., Barangay Sikatuna Village, Quezon City and BIR Revenue District Office assessment section chief.
The latter office is located on West Avenue, Quezon City.
Enriquez was gunned down at about 7:29 a.m. Wednesday shortly alighting from his Hyunda Sta. Fe (ZLN-827) which he parked in front of Ambianza Apartelle on No. 166 West Avenue, Barangay Phil-Am.
The unidentified suspects arrived on a motorcycle of still unknown model and plate number.
The pillion seat rider who was armed with a handgun shot the victim once in the head, killing him on the spot. The suspects hurriedly fled.
Recordings of CCTVs in the area are being reviewed and witnesses interviewed for information that may help solve the case.
All angles will be examined and probed to establish the motive, identify the perpetrators and mastermind, and effect their immediate arrest.
Eleazar appealed to any one with related information to come forward and assist the police investigation. (PNA)
