AMADEO, Cavite -– Coffee connoisseurs are expected to converge and have their tasty brews starting Friday (April) for the three day "Pahimis 2017" coffee in this upland town of Cavite tagged as the "Coffee Capital."
Amadeo Mayor Albert Ambagan Sr. will lead the festivities hosted by the municipal government with the Department of Tourism Assistant Secretaries Frederick Alegre and Maria Lourdes Japson who will grace the occasion.
Various competitions like the "Amadeo Latte Art ThrowDown" and "Barista Challenge" will be this year's added attractions to promote the best coffee produce to the coffee connoisseurs and drinkers joining the festival.
Mayor Ambangan also invites the public to take part in the annual festivities and experience the coffee thanksgiving festival popularly known as "Pahimis" from April 21-23.
From its humble beginning in 2002, the Pahimis coffee festival has grown to be a full swing celebration to showcase the town's prime agricultural product - Amadeo coffee.
The three-day celebration will feature street dancing, trade fair and cultural shows in a promotion blitz of the Amadeo Coffee as a certified "One Town, One Product" (OTOP) as well as other local products. (PNA)
