DOH to provide psychosocial support to survivors of Tanay bus accident

MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) has offered psychosocial support to those who survived the recent bus accident in Tanay, Rizal that claimed the lives of 15 people, 14 of whom were students of Bestlink College.
In a press briefing at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City on Monday, Undersecretary Dr. Gerardo Bayugo said the department will extend the psychosocial support to help the victims recover from the trauma they suffered during the accident.
The intervention will also be offered to the victims' families, especially those who are grieving for the loss of their children, he said, noting that it will be given free-of-charge.
What happened, he said, would have a great impact on the students and their families, hence the need to help them so they could lead a normal life.
Bayugo said the victims will receive the psychosocial support until they recover from their trauma. (PNA)
