Aquino visits US and Japan

President Benigno Aquino III flies to United States on September 18 and stays there until the 23rd to attend a forum in New York and Washington on anti-corruption, also to discuss with US President Barack Obama economic agendas of both countries.

After that, Aquino will proceed to Japan where he is expected to meet Japanese Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Yoshiniko Noda. His stay in Japan will be from September 25 to September 28. The meeting aims to advance the bilateral relations of the Philippines and Japan, as well as to strengthen the strategic partnership of both countries.

Afterward, Aquino will be meeting leaders of the Filipino community in Tokyo and Miyagi Prefecture in Northeastern Japan. — ARA
