Pagasa's weather map as of 10:30 a.m.
Typhoon "Kabayan" (international name: Muifa) has slightly weakened as it moves westward.

This was according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration in its latest weather bulletin.

According to Pagasa, "Kabayan" has been estimated to be 800 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes at 10 a.m.

"Kabayan" still packed maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 195 kph, moving westward at 15 kph.

By Friday morning, Pagasa estimated that "Kabayan" will be 550 km north northeast of Basco, Batanes.

No public storm warning signal has been raised as "Kabayan" is too far to directly affect any part of the country.

In spite of the clear skies today, Pagasa, however said that, "Kabayan" is still expected to enhance the southwest monsoon over the western section of southern Luzon and the Visayas and will continue to bring rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

The rest of the country is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northwest and west will prevail over northern Luzon and coming from the southwest over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough today.
