A German grandmother was saved by a bonnet dryer from grave damage when the ceiling of the salon where she was having her hair done collapsed.
"At first I didn't realize what was happening. You can't hear a thing under the bonnet. Then bits of the ceiling broke off. But the dryer worked like a protective helmet," Karin Koellner, 72, from Gladbeck in western Germany stated.
A statement from the owner of the "Cut and More" salon, Nermin Karagad held: "I'm just happy nothing worse happened. The ceiling was redone seven years ago."
Police spokesman Michael Franz told the media that two other people escaped in the incident having only minor injuries. — MITCH
