Dolphy gets better

Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr, also known in showbiz as "Dolphy" celebrated his 83rd birthday celebration on Monday.

"At least nagi-improve ako," he said in an interview at ABS-CBN. According to the Comedy King, he is expected to no longer be dependent on oxygen tanks by next week.

"Bumalik na naman yung kutis natin, medyo gumanda-ganda. Dati talagang bangkay na e," he laughingly added.

His other half, singer and actress Zsa Zsa Padilla also extended her gratitude to everyone who expressed their concern and love for Dolphy.

Despite his sickly situation, Dolphy even managed to give a comment on the alleged 2004 election issue. "Dapat naging Presidente talaga 'yon (Fernando Poe Jr.) eh. Kaya Garci, lumabas ka na. Please naman. Nasa iyo ang susi eh," said Dolphy.

Furthermore, he implored the public to grant President Benigno Aquino III more time an chance to prove himself and make our country better. — ARA
