A tropical depression has been detected and named "Hanna" estimated to be 1,265 kilometers East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on its latest weather bulletin, "Hanna" has a maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and is expected to move northeast at 24 kilometers per hour.
So far, no public storm warning signal has been raised.
In its earlier weather forecast, Pagasa said that Southern Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to west will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to west with slight to moderate seas. — ARA
