Several cabinet secretaries cause Pnoy headache

President Benigno Aquino III said, on Thursday, that there are about two or three cabinet members giving him headaches and "bad news".

"Sa totoo lang, meron akong na-obserbahan na mga miyembro ng gabinete, mga dalawa o tatlo – kada makita ko agad iniisip ko, ano kayang bad news ang dala-dala nito (In fact , I have observed cabinet members, about two or three who every time I see them I wonder "what bad news again is this person bringing me now"), Aquino said in his speech during the 113th anniversary celebration of the Department of Public Works and Highways.

He added "Pinipilit ko nalang na harapin dahil talagang isang taong penitensya ko na yata ito sa mundong 'to kaya ok lang (I am just trying to face them (problems) because I think it's my act of penitence for one year now, so it's ok) ."

Aquino, however, recognized the good work of several of his secretaries particularly, Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson, Department of Science and Technology Secretary Mario Montejo, and Department of Budget Secretary Florencio Abad.

"That's why whenever they (Singson, Montejo and Abad) would ask for an appointment, I immediately approve it. The others, I just force myself to face (them)," he said. — ARA
