The Department of Education suspended classes Friday morning, from pre-school to highschool levels in both private and public schools in Metro Manila and nearby areas badly affected by typhoon "Falcon."
"All schools in National Capital Region - Preschool, Elementary and High school will have no classes tomorrow, June 24, both public and private," said DepEd National Capital Region Director Elena Ruiz.
The following cities/municipalities declared suspension of classes:
- Cavite
- Antipolo
- Angono, Cainta
- Sta. Cruz, Laguna
- Calamba
- Bulacan
- Malolos
- Subic
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Pangasinan
Other colleges and universities also declared suspension of classes as advised by the Commission on Higher Education.
These include:
- University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman, Quezon City
- Arellano University, Manila
- La Consolacion College, Pasig
- Centro Escolar University, Makati
- Trinity University of Asia and STI College, Caloocan
