Aquino to convene LEDAC

President Benigno Aquino III is scheduled to convene the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council on July 12 according to Malacañang.

Aquino believed that the new laws will be the beginning of more programs and support legislation to be instituted for the benefit of our people.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said that the Reproductive Health bill is included in the priority of the president, "It's ongoing. It's already for debate," he said.

He added that Office of the Executive Secretary will conclude the list of priority bills which will be distributed to the leaders of both houses of Congress in July.

The council is composed of the Vice President, the Senate President, the House Speaker, seven Cabinet members, three senators, three House members, and one representative each from the local government, youth and the private sector.

July 12 will be the second LEDAC meeting called by the President since he assumed office
last year. The first assembly was done last February. — ARA
