Tropical Depresssion "Egay" has slightly accelerated and is now approaching the Northern tip of Cagayan towards the Batanes-Calayan areas.
In its latest Severe Weather Bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration estimated "Egay" to be 140 km East of Aparri, Cagayan, with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center as it continues to move northwest at 19 kph.
Public storm warning signal number one is still raised in Isabela, Cagayan, Calayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, Batanes Group of Islands, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte. Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere now lowered.
By Monday afternoon, Pagasa estimates "Egay" to be 200 km West of Basco, Batanes, or 160 km South Southwest of Southern Taiwan. — DBL
