Tropical Depresssion "Egay" has accelerated as it continues on its northwestward direction and threatens the Eastern section of Luzon.
In its latest Severe Weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, "Egay" was 150 kilometers East of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of up to 55 kph near the center as it continues to move northwestward at 20 kph.
Pagasa estimates that "Egay" will be 100 km East of Casiguran, Aurora by Sunday morning.
Public storm warning signal number 1 is still hoisted in Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Polillo Island, Aurora, Cagayan, Isabela, and Northern Samar. — DBL
