Leyte vice Governor urges Leyteños to unite

Leyte vice Governor Mimyet Bagulaya persuaded Leyteños to do their share in making sure that the freedom gained by the Filipino heroes will not go to waste.

"We have a very committed President who is bent on pursuing this freedom from graft and corruption and poverty in this country. But, he cannot do this alone; not even with the leader in LGUs altogether," said Bagulaya during the celebration of 113th Independence Day.

She stressed that these days that the enemy are the dishonest and ineffective leaders in governance that affects the retardation of the country's economic development such as poverty and hunger among Filipinos and unemployment.

"Only if each and every one of us will do his or her share, whether big or small, can we achieve this freedom," said Bagulaya.

She urged Leyteños to unite and progress towards freedom from current concerns that the province and the entire country is facing. — ARA
