Metro Manila Police force is ready for the 2011-2012 school opening on Monday according to the National Capital Region Police Office chief Alan Purisima.
Purisma said that they will deploy 2,445 police to secure schools and students in the metropolis.
They will apply four kinds of strategies: sustain peace and order within schools, guarantee the general safety of students, crime prevention, and operation against criminal syndicates.
"Policemen are directed to be at their post before the students arrive and they should be in proper uniform," Chief Superintendent George T. Regis, Quezon City Police District Director said.
"Policemen should keep on patrolling every street in their area of responsibility," Regis added.
In addition, Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo, Manila Police District spokesperson stressed that usually, criminals that abound during this period are pickpockets, robbery-holdup persons, syndicates that threaten weak-looking targets and accuse them of theft.
With that, he warned students not to wearing too much jewelry in going to school to avoid crimes like snatching and hold-up.
