Former child star Jiro Manio voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility March this year, address his drug addiction problem.
This was confirmed by his manager, Director Maryo J. de los Reyes and his father, Andrew Manio.
Direk Maryo said though that he believes the young actor has the potential to make a comeback in the entertainment industry.
Jiro's father said that his son's career was already sliding down during ABS-CBN's former primetime show Tayong Dalawa due to his use of illegal drugs believed to be brought about by peer pressure. However, Mr. Manio assured that the young actor is committed to becoming a better person after exiting the rehab.
Considered as one of the most talented child actors of his time, Jiro has received various awards honoring his talent in acting.
