DepEd launches an action center for the school opening

The Department of Education (DepEd) launched an Information and Action Center Task Force (IAC) for the opening of classes on June.

The department has setup IAC to address concerns and complaints starting from the first day of classes up to June 10.

According to DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro, this project will ensure smooth opening of classes so that schoolchildren are properly enrolled and all of them are in school on June 6, the first day of school year 2011-2012.

Active involvement of the different DepEd field offices are encouraged this year. Regional directors and schools division superintendents will also have their own command centers not only to ensure the smooth opening of classes but to encourage parents and communities to send school-aged children to public elementary and secondary schools. — CLEZ
