President Benigno Aquino III is going to visit Thailand on Thursday until Friday.
Aquino is set to talk to Thai Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva regarding the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Thailand, and also to build coordination in fighting against drug trafficking, building agricultural development, and a partnership for regional and multilateral fora.
According to Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the said visit aims to further strengthen the Philippines' deep and strong bilateral relations with Thailand as well as the cooperation within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in order to help build a secure and successful ASEAN Community by 2015.
PNoy is also set to meet the overseas Filipino workers community in Thailand before going back to the Philippines.
In 1994, the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Thailand is considered the strongest and most stable in the whole Asia. — ARA
