Mariveles town will experience a whole day power interruption on July 22 due to the interconnection of contingency lines, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said in a statement.
The power interruption will be from 8 a.m. up to 6 p.m. and the public is advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions, said NGCP public affairs officer Lilibeth Gaydowen.
NGCP will be conducting interconnection of contingency lines in two power transmission structures along the Limay and Mariveles town areas as part of the company's transmission upgrade.
"Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion," said Gaydowen.
NGCP also clarified that the Peninsula Electric Cooperative (Penelco), the power distributor in Bataan, will determine specific municipalities or areas which might be affected by the power interruption.
