DPWH to start road widening project in Manila starting July 16

Road widening activities of the Department of Public Works and Highways in some parts of Manila will begin today, July 16.

In a statement, DPWH's Urban Road Projects Office – Project Management Office said it will start road widening activities along A.H. Lacson St. (formerly Gov. Forbes St.) for the C2-R7 (Lacson-España) Interchange Project.

The DPWH advised motorist and the public to take the following alternate routes to avoid traffic inconveniences: Southbound - from Dapitan take Quezon Blvd. left to Lerma St., right to Nicanor Reyes St. (formerly Morayta), left to CM Recto Ave., left to Legarda St. to Nagtahan Flyover to destination; from Dapitan take Quezon Blvd. to CM Recto Ave., left to Legarda St. to Nagtahan Flyover to destination; and from Dimasalang take Vicente G. Cruz to Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. to destination.

Meanwhile, for Northbound motorists may take the following alternative routes: from Nagtahan Flyover right to G. Tuazon St., left to M. Dela Fuente St. to Dimasalang to destination, and from Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. – M. Dela Fuente St. right to G. Tuazon, left to Gen. Quintos St., right to Sobriedad St. to Matimyas St., then left to Maceda St. to España to destination. - PIA — ARA
