Dolphy's wake open to public on Thursday morning

After a long fight with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, a progressive illness not unlike cancer that makes it hard to breathe, Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon Sr. leaves his family, friends, and countless fans at the age of 83.

Recently, the Comedy King was also struck by pneumonia and had to undergo blood transfusions before passing away at the Makati Medical Center 8:34pm Tuesday (June 10, 2012), according to his publicist Nene Riego.

The wake of Comedy Dolphy was brought to the Heritage Park in Taguig City before midnight on the night of his death on Tuesday, just several hours after he died at the age 83.

The wake will first be made limited for Dolphy's family and closest friends this Wednesday at 8 a.m in the Heritage Park in Taguig and will be open to the public on Thursday morning.

Many fans expressed their condolences to the Quizon family and shared their grief through the various social media as tribute to Dolphy. — ARA
