Region 2's Regional Disaster Risk Management Council (RDRRMC) has alerted all provincial and municipal disaster councils on the possible effects of "Chedeng" which is expected to arrive in Cagayan province Thursday.
Council Chair and Civil Defense Director Norma Talosig has already given her orders to members of the council to prepare for what is necessary for the possible effects of the typhoon.
Talosig has already met with some local executives in order to check for their preparedness, especially in securing the lives of their constituents.
The social welfare development has also alerted their teams to be ready starting this morning.
About four thousand family packs and three thousand used clothes are also being prepared for relief distribution should these be needed, information officer Angely Lubo said.
Lubo added that they also have a standby fund amounting to PhP300,000 which may be released anytime should municipalities or the rescue teams need such.
The provincial disaster council of Cagayan is also getting their rescue equipments ready. Family food packs and standby funds are also on standby. — DBL
