Filipino comedian-actor, Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon is still confined at the Makati Medical Center. Ronnie Quizon, one of his sons said that the condition of his father is still "critical but stable". "Anything can still happen," the younger Quizon said in an interview.
Ronnie expressed their close supervision on their father's condition, saying that right now, there is not yet a "good news" about their father's health. ("Para sa akin ngayon, no news is good news since alanganing oras yun and gabi tapos pag dumating yung doktor ibig sabihin may mabigat na mangyayari. Pero ngayon wala pa namang nangyayari so there's nothing to worry about. Pero yun nga para sa akin no news is good news and good news is better news.")
He said that the whole night went well for Dolphy and that he was comfortable while asleep.
Quizon said that his father had been showing positive signs since the doctors gave him smaller doses of medication, but is still under observation on how his body will respond.
According to Ronnie, Dolphy has just undergone blood transfusion, mostly from boxer-donors from the Elorde gym.
Hand movements and facial expressions were the only response they are getting from their father every time they talk to him, Ronnie added.
On the other hand, President Benigno Aquino III requested Filipinos to pray for the recovery of the comedian.
Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said, "We enjoin the Filipino people to pray for the health of Mr. Rodolfo Quizon Sr., whom the entire nation fondly knows as "Dolphy." We are united in our intentions for our revered icon of the Philippine entertainment industry. The President's thoughts are with Mr. Quizon and his loved ones in these trying times." — ARA
