After trying to rob a branch of a fastfood chain in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday, A pregnant woman was put to prison.
Senior Superintendent Armando Bolalin, Mandaluyong police chief said Carol Legazpi, 23, and reportedly six months pregnant, pretended to be carrying a hand grenade inside her bag as she held up one of the cashiers at McDonald's Boni Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
Immediately, Zyra Apigo, another counter staff ran out of the restaurant to call for help, catching the attention of village watchmen.
Legaspi's bag contained a lady's wallet, but revealed no trace of a hand grenade. She defensed that she was only instructed by a certain man who remained outside the restaurant. -GIAN — ARA
