The Southern Police District is now preparing for the upcoming school year, after the fairly "peaceful" rallies associated to the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona were over.
The SPD ordered its workforce to protect students from criminals especially as classes start June 4.
According to SPD head Chief Superintendent Benito Estipona, he already ordered his men to get ready for the arrival of students especially those in elementary and high school.
He said their top priority is safeguarding students against the street crimes such as snatching, robbery, drug trafficking, and swindling, and upsetting street gangs.
The SPD assures parents from Pasay, Makati, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Taguig and Pateros that their eyes are on their children. — ARA
