SC staff prepares simple gathering for Corona

Supreme Court staff readied a simple gathering for the probable acquittal of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

The SC employees wearing red shirts conducted a rosary vigil while waiting for the verdict.

President of the Supreme Court Employees Association, Jojo Guerrero said in an interview that their team has asked authorization from Midas Marquez, court administrator, to hold the said gathering.

Guerrero said, "Ang panalangin namin ay ang botohan ay hindi mabase sa impluwensiya kundi sa konsensya." Seemingly bothered, he also stated that "mayroon pala kaming mga Justice na pwede mawala, may mga decision pala na hindi nila susundin. Doon talaga kami nababastusan."

On the other hand, several members of the Court Employees Association and Pro-Corona proceeded to the Senate to show support to the chief justice. — ARA
