The Philippine National Police will host the first Civil Service Commission Lingkod Bayani Network Forum and Fellowship Monday, May 28 at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
In a release, PNP Chief Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome and CSC Chairman Francisco Duque will jointly lead the said forum at the PNP Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Crame Quezon City.
With the theme "The Servant Hero: Sino ang Lingkod Bayani?" the forum enjoins all National Capital Region and Greater Manila Area government officials and employees who are recipients of the Lingkod Bayan, Pagasa, and Dangal ng Bayan awards in the past years to further intensify the advocacy of the Civil Service Commission towards excellence of government services.
"The LBNet Forum and Fellowship manifests our common duties and responsibilities as a government employee as well as our desire to be a highly capable, effective, and credible public servant," said Bartolome who will deliver the welcome message.
Meanwhile, according to CSC Chairman Duque, aside from the incentive and rewards system of the CSC for outstanding public servants, the LBNet shall serve also as a network for support in sustaining excellence, professionalism, dedication and meritocracy as well as promoting good governance across the country.
Senator Antonio Trillanes and Secretary of Interior and Local Government Honorable Jesse M. Robredo are expected to grace the event together with other heads of constitutional bodies; departments, bureaus and national government agencies; local government units; government-owned and controlled corporations; as well as representatives from the State Universities and Colleges.
Initiated by selected group of honor awardees with Pangasinan 2nd District Representative Leopoldo N. Bataoil, former PNP Spokesperson and 2007 Pagasa Awardee as the lead convenor, the LBNet forum was organized to tap the honor awardees of the CSC as partner in the implementation of its programs and activities. -
