Let's join Manila Bay Clean-up run 2012

Manila Broadcasting Company will be continuing its event, Manila Bay Clean-Up Run 2012 which will take place on July 15, 2012 at 5:00 a.m.

This is the second year for the Manila Bay Cleanup Run. There will be four events/distances for this year's edition; the 3k, 5k, 10k and 15k events. Parts of the proceeds from your registrations fees are donated to the drive to clean-up the bay. Trophies and cash prizes will be given to the top three winners in each race division.

Registration begins May 28 at the several participating Chris Sports outlets:

• In QC - Trinoma, SM North

• In Pasig - SM mega mall

• In Makati – Glorieta

• In Pasay - SM mall of asia

• In the South - SM Bicutan and South Mall Alabang

The said event aims to raise funds for the drive to clean up the Manila Bay of trash and pollutants. As well as to raise awareness among Filipinos to take care of our environrent and preserve our city's natural beauty, starting with the picturesque ecology of the Manila Bay.

While these initiatives will not totally solve environmental sanitation problems in the country's premier international gateway, reduction of rubbish will help minimize pollutants, which will have an impact in the long run. — ARA
