Secretary of Social Welfare and Development Dinky Soliman receives the Deed of Donation the list containing the emergency relief items worth $200,000 from Korean Ambassador Hye Min Lee during a simple turnover ceremony held at the Department of Social Welfare and Development Central Office.
The items are for the earthquake victims in Negros Oriental. These are 100 tents, 250 plastic sheets, 22,000 ready-to-eat chicken and beef fried rice, 2,853 aquatabs, 500 towels, 100,800 paper cups, 180,000 plastic bags, 950 plastic water bottles, and 140 radio lanterns.
Secretary Soliman expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the government of the Republic of Korea for their "generous contribution, which will certainly help Negros Oriental quake victims." -
