Thirteen (13) people were killed after a bomb exploded yesterday, during a religious procession in Eastern Pakistan.
District Police Chief Sohail Chatta said that the blast happened during a traditional Shiite mourning procession in the town of Khanpur in Punjab. Authorities said the bomb have been planted ahead of time in the path of the parade.
Ghazanfer Ali, another officer, said that the crowd mourners even threw rocks at the policemen after the bombing thus prompting the officers to throw tear gas canisters to control them. — CHAZ
