Tropical storm "SENDONG" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 180 km East Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (7.5°N, 127.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move West at 26 kph.
Tropical Storm "SENDONG" is expected to make landfall early this afternoon over Davao Oriental and is expected to be at 100 km Southwest of Dipolog City by tomorrow morning. By Sunday morning, it will be at 190 km West of Puerto Princesa City and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday evening.

Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under Public Storm Warning Signals are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.
Mining operators and small scale miners are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides and take necessary precautionary measures.
Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea.
