BIR's "Premyo sa Resibo" holds grand draw

The Bureau of Internal Revenue Eastern Visayas through its Regional Director Atty. Diosdado R. Mendoza announces the Premyo sa Resibo text raffle promo grand draw scheduled on December 16, 2011.

The Premyo sa Resibo, according to Ms. Paulina E. Buitizon, BIR Public Information Officer designate, is a program of the BIR wherein consumers are encouraged to demand official receipts or sales invoices whenever they purchase goods or services which will result to the improvement of the tax collection of the government.

Failure or refusal of any business establishment to issue a receipt or invoice shall subject the violator to penalties in accordance with the National Internal Revenue Code as amended.

The text raffle promo,spearheaded by PhilWeb in coordination with the BIR, gives a chance to a lucky participant to be an instant millionaire during the grand draw.

Participating in the PSR raffle promo by texting the details of the official receipts will be assisting BIR in promoting the regular use of official receipts in the conduct of business transactions and likewise boost the Bureau's revenue collections.
