Pasig gov't, e-Jeepney Transport Inc. ink MOU vs pollution

The city government of Pasig and the e-Jeepney Transport Inc. recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help mitigate climate change and make communities more resilient to the impacts of global warming.

Pasig City Mayor Robert C. Eusebio and representatives from the e-Jeepney Transport Inc. led the MOU signing wherein the transport group will provide three more e-Jeepneys for deployment in Pasig City.

In a release, the additional e-Jeepneys are part of the city government's initiative to shift to a sustainable form of public transport that does not pollute the environment.

The said project is also a pioneering partnership between the private sector and the city government that promotes the use of alternative energy.

The e-Jeepney is a viable project that addresses the need for an environment-friendly public transport system under the Pasig Green City Program that bagged the 'Galing Pook Award' for sustainable environment protection programs.-PIA — ARA
