TD "Ramon" leaves the country

Tropical Depression Ramon continued to move away from the Philippine territory Friday morning, according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

Ramon was estimated at about 340 km west of Laoag City, with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center, forecasted to move north northwest at 19 kph and is expected to be 670 km west northwest of Basco, Batanes by Saturday morning.

PAGASA said, "Fishing boats and other small sea vessels are advised not to venture out into the West Philippine Sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves." — ARA
