Philippine Azkals wins over Nepal

The Philippines Azkals won 4-0 over Nepal on their friendly match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Tuesday.

Azkals coach Michael Weiss said, "We wanted to end the year with a bang and give a clear answer to people who are not happy with the team."

Phil Younghusband initally made a goal. Brother James gave the team another goal at the 28th minute.

On the 54th minute, Phil gave the Azkals another point taking the score to 3-0.

Matthew Hartmann capped the assault on the 88th minute taking the score to 4-0.

Azkals member Neil Etheridge said, "Unfortunately we didn't get the result we wanted against Singapore... we keep on moving in and hopefully in 2012 we show everyone how good we are."

Weiss said, "I'm very happy and proud of the team. I'm very happy and very proud of Phil Younghusband who gave us the right answer and proved he's a high profile striker. Also our [Fil-foreign] players who played 2 matches in 4 days, and the rest of the team." — ARA
